Christina,

I'm 45 and hear that work for women my age is at a high demand. A great deal of the television commercials I see are older people. I am represented by a agency here in Cincinnati - New View Management, but am getting very few castings. Would you recommend that I find a new agency or stay with New View? I really want more work! If you think I should find another agency, an you suggest one that focuses on older people my age? I'm interested in commercials, print work and runway.

Thanks,
Michelle

I modeled with New View when I was 13 and they never called anyone I took classes with back for any work so I was left to believe they were a scam. I'm almost 18 and still not a single call...

I have a contract with New View. It states that New View is my sole and exclusive manager. How am I allowed to sign with other agencies with that in the contract? Unless I cancel the contract - I've been with them for 2 years with NO paid work. Can you recommend another agency in the Cincinnati area that does specialize in over 40? Thanks
Did you sign an exclusive contact or non-exclusive?

Hi Michelle,

Yes, you are right. 40 Plus modeling is the new trend :) Take a look at this article- http://www.iammodern.com/what-me-model.html

It may be the agency you are with? Do they represent many other women in your age group? Have you tried submitting to other agencies? You can be with several...

Best,

Cristina
