Christina, I'm 45 and hear that work for women my age is at a high demand. A great deal of the television commercials I see are older people. I am represented by a agency here in Cincinnati - New View Management, but am getting very few castings. Would you recommend that I find a new agency or stay with New View? I really want more work! If you think I should find another agency, an you suggest one that focuses on older people my age? I'm interested in commercials, print work and runway. Thanks, Michelle

Hello Cristina! I am very interested in getting started in catalog/commercial print modeling. I attended Model Search America in December 2007 at Bally's in Las Vegas. I attended your seminar on tv commercial and commercial print. I followed very closely what you and many of the others talked about as far as getting into the business. 2 years later, I have gotten a manager and an agent. Some neat opportunities have come my way, most of them acting. I have been in 2 movies (back ground featured and a speaking part) and 2 commercials(same back " and a speaking") What is my best strategy for catalog modeling/commercial print? I just turned 40 in July and this is something I really want to do. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Sincerely, Rhonda Hedegaard

Hi Cristina, I posted a photo up on the My Portfolio section. Had some new ones taken to build up my portfolio!! I would love it if you critiqued the new photo for me. Has a bit more going for it than the others that you had seen I believe. Thanks Cristina. Mary Elwell

Hello Cristina, My photo shoot is scheduled for April 20th. Do you have any tips for me to prepare for the shoot? I have watched your videos on comp cards and I have chosen to do 4 outfit changes. 1 beauty for the cover, 1 sport, 1 for commercial print and 1 business, and I should mention I am a rookie and in my 40’s. Any tips would be most appreciated. Delilah-Washington DC

Hi Cristina, I am 41 and have always wanted to be a model! I consider myself to be in great shape and have noticed that there are many women over 40 modeling. Is this something that is out there for woman like me? Best Regards, Stacey

Hey Cristina!!! How well do you think the industry will do with the over 40 models? Is it something that you see still making advances? After all there are alot of women out there looking great at this age and many dollars to spend. Do you think advertisers and clients are listening ? Would it not make more sense to have a women within the age group they are targeting be the model? Versus a 20 year old?

Hi again Cristina! I have heard that they are more likely to use "mature" models in Europe versus the United States. Do you know if that is true? Mary

Hi Cristina, not really a question, just want to introduce myself and compliment your site. I'm brand new to the biz, 41 years old, but signed with 3 agencies in the midwest. Have yet to earn any money yet, but we'll keep at it!! Trying to crack the Chicago market, but haven't found an agency there yet. Seems very competitive there. Thanks for the site and for showing us that there is lots of opportunities for us "older" folks!

Hi Cristina! Thank you for having an informative and helpful site! I'm wondering about 40+ models who look much younger. Is a young-looking 40+ model limited to the 40+ category even though that model is better suited to the under-40 category? Why use a model who looks to be 25 or 30 in an ad marketed to older people? For example, if an online casting contest for a model shoot stipulates models must between 15 and 30- do they mean the models must appear to be under 30? Thanks! Cynthia
