Hair and Make-Up Ready?
When I first started modeling I was under the delusion that at every photo shoot there would be a professional make-up artist and hair stylist. I mean that is how it is on T.V. right? Not exactly :) From time to time your agency will book you on a job and ask you to arrive at a photo shoot hair and make-up ready. Meaning- (for a girl) that your hair should be blown out nicely so it is ready to easily style as the client envisions for the photo shoot. You will need to bring a curling iron, flat iron, bobby pins, pony tail holders, hair spray and gel to re- style your hair for each clothing change. Don’t worry- if there is no hair stylist then they most likely will not ask you to do anything really elaborate- just simple hair (pony tail, etc.) For guys, just bring some smoothing gel and hairspray.
As far as make-up (for girls), I usually put on my base and some powder with a little blush and eye shadow. When I arrive at the job a get a clearer vision of what the client is looking for I then add more make-up if necessary. Do not add too much before you go to the job. It is much easier to add more make-up then take it away… Guys can go with a clean face but bring a compact of powder and some concealer for any blemishes to the job. You will need to know how to apply this yourself. Both guys and girls will be in charge of applying power for oily shine in between changes.
If you have no clue how to do make-up- go to your local mall and ask someone at the makeup counter to give you some tips. Also when you book a photo shoot with a hair and make-up artist- ask for some advice.
Here are some videos that may help you out :)

Good luck!
